Product and Portrait Photography‌:• Precise light shaping for different, mostly small objects
• How to control the appearance of skin (regarding shine and skin color) with light
• How to illuminate shiny and matt surfaced objects
• Unorthodox approaches to beauty photography
• Additional walk-throughs to various sets that are not photographed live
• Accompanying light theoryPeople Photography:• Three-dimensional lighting for face and body with model
• Different approaches to dance photography with a model from the world of ballet
• Stop motion
• Combining continuous light and flash
• Accompanying explanations about high-speed synchronization on location

Day 2 | Wed, 19 Oct, 9:00 - 17:00 with Moja English and French

Practical (*) and Motivated Lights (**).A series of scenes, situations, will be installed in the Studio to browse the different “cinematic” light effects with flashes and in particular the Practical and Motivated Lights. Model(s) will be foreseen to create nice pictures• (*) Practical lighting refers to light sources in a scene that are visible to the audience. Primarily, practical lighting is there to ensure that sets feel more realistic and help immerse the audience in the story.
• (**) Motivated lighting is a lighting technique meant to imitate natural light sources in the picture such as the sun. A source of light that is not natural but serves a purpose to help tell the story.
